The short version: this site collects very little, sells nothing about you, and everything it does collect is listed below in plain language.
Analytics
I Crave Anime uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read. This sets cookies and records standard usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type). It’s aggregate traffic data — we don’t use it to identify you. You can block it with any ad/tracker blocker or Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and the site works fine either way.
Newsletter
If you sign up for email updates, your email address is stored in our self-hosted newsletter system and used only to send you the emails you signed up for. An email-delivery provider transmits the messages but does not own the list. New subscriptions require email confirmation, and every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
The signup form also uses a hidden anti-spam field. Cloudflare Turnstile may be enabled to stop automated abuse; when enabled, Cloudflare processes limited device and request data for that security check. The form records aggregate success or failure events in Google Analytics, but those events do not include your email address.
Affiliate links
Some links to products such as manga, Blu-rays, and merchandise are affiliate links. New commercial links use Amazon; older articles may still contain clearly disclosed eBay affiliate links. If you buy something through a commissioned link, this site earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those retailers may set their own cookies when you click; their privacy policies govern what happens on their side.
Advertising
The site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. You can adjust ad personalization at Google Ad Settings or opt out of third-party cookies entirely; the content here doesn’t change either way.
What we don’t do
No selling of personal data. No data brokers. No tracking pixels in emails beyond the provider’s standard open/click counts. No accounts, so no passwords to leak.
